As an artist and professor of painting and textile arts at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, Ulrich Reimkasten is a seeker between the worlds who works continuously to measure the human cosmos and himself as a subject. His expressions are unusually diverse. They range from painting and graphics to tapestry to architecture-related art projects. The diversity of his work is united by the incessant attempt to grasp differences, breaks and empty spaces and thus to give form to the formless.
